What are your thoughts on water injections? I'm getting ready to go 8psi on the SC for my ITR. The shop doing the work is recommending it.

I think that if you are having part throttle ping and/or detonation... then it is a good idea. I have not seen any real gains (even on the dyno) with water injection... primarily due to the fact that the water takes up space in the combustion chamber, and this means that less air and fuel can go in... and this is what makes the HP, not the water.

I don't have any pinging now, but who knows what it'll be like after the upgrade. What's your shop #? I'd like to talk to you about ordering some parts.
Thanks,
Rick B.
